Fellow Chapter Members,

Our Acquisition Reform Conference on May 24th went very well. We had over 100 attendees at CNU. Our distinguished speaker line-up provided excellent insights and information on this hot topic. We are in the initial planning stages for next year’s conference that will focus on Multi-Domain Operations. The four-star major commands within our area will have a significant part of the conference agenda.

Our next Chapter luncheon will be held on October 4th from 11:30-1:00 at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach Norfolk Convention Center located just off of Newtown Road and I-264.

We’re very excited about our keynote speaker, Mr. Mark Klett from Klett Consulting Group. His remarks will focus on requirements of the Hampton Roads workforce for a data-centric economy enabled by the arrival of High-Speed Broadband Undersea Cables. Please join us to hear Mark Klett, a cyber entrepreneur, break down how your industry can take advantage of this distinctive, emerging opportunity.

Cost for the luncheon is $25 and PayPal payment processing is now available at our ghrcndia.org website. Use the “Buy Now” button to sign up and pay. Email invitations with a flyer containing further details will be sent within the next few days.
We also plan to recognize our 2018 Tidewater Community College scholarship winner.

Finally, we are planning to host our Fall luncheon in the Chapter’s Western Region near Richmond sometime in mid-November. We will advertise the details by early October.

Thanks for your continued support and I hope to see you all at our Holiday Inn luncheon featuring Mark Klett on October 4th!
